
What combos can I use for taekwondo sparring?
i’m into mma and I practice some stances and punch a different way and kick a different way at home against my punching bag which is shaped like a human. but however when I go to my sparring it feels a lot different, I’m trying to get into an mma stance but I just keep switching to the side stance . Anyways, what combos can I use for my taekwondo, it can be any striking art. Only rule is I can only hit the chest protector and ribs which is a bummer.
i dont wanna use tkd moves too much though.
Its time to think outside the box, what you have to do is go in at different angles. try to use a 45 dgree downward round kick this will take the opponents front blocking arm out of the way and also the instep of the foot will make alot of contact with the opponents face or chest. also try the inverted 45 uppward side kick, its almost like a back kick but you roll the leg over and kick upward, it get between the opponnents front blocking elbow and the waist going in the upward motion makes contact with the stomache, ribs, sternum or chest.. there are so many combo’s i dont know where to start try -a fake cresent (to his back) into a front snap or round kick (to his chest). or just something simple like a round kick (recoil) and sidekick to the ribs, but definately give the inverted 45 kicks a chance nobody ever suspects them when done right.
