Can you become a national power UNC (Top 5 consistently) in the Davis football coach?
My theory is that the best football players will always choose the traditional football powers Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State, etc. I think he can get recruiting talent and coach and has always done and have good results within the CAC, in a weak conference, but can not think UNC Top 5 nationally every year like some forecast it.
No one would a traditional NC power at this time. Davis could lead to the next level, and then the next coach could. It would be very difficult for a coach to lead a mediocre team to first class. To the guy above me, USC will be lucky to finish the top ten, and that is usually close it next year. He is talking about UNC that compete with the real USC, OSU, OU and LSU and the like, being in the top ten each single season.
