if you are not recruited can you still tryout for a college football team?
I need information on trying to play college football for a d2 school and was wondering if i can even attempt to without being recruited? i played for small schools my highschool years and really dont get college scouts in our area. i have been out of highschool for a year and been training really hard to try to walk on somewhere i am currently 5-11” at 195 run a 4.6 40 bench 250 and really agile. any information would be nice thank you.
The reason you never got college scouts in your area is because there are no college scouts. That, you would know if you REALLY played football, but you don’t. You won’t stand a chance at any level because college coaches don’t like players who lie about their stats.
Get real.

Yes it is true. They aren’t the college’s scouts. They aren’t employed by the colleges. Most of those “scouts” are self appointed blow hards (you know what they, that’s obvious), anyway, little credibility with coaches. When would a recruiter (a college coach) go see a high school player play? The talent judging is done by camps, combines, coach recommendations, and video.
When would a coach get to see a high school player, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night? LOL! This ain’t 1965.
