Is 19 too late to start a serious football (soccer) career?
I’ve just turned 19 and I want to know if It’s too late to start a career, and I mean a serious career. I’ve contacted lots of coaches and universities and most of their tryouts are already passed. I know I’m above the average 19 year old who plays “soccer” in the U.S. So I’m confident of my own abilities to play for a club, but I just can’t seem to find the right place and person. Where can I start? without having to pay like 50$ memberships on websites or recruiting sites? Any contact or general information or steps I need to take first will help.
Definately not, some notable players actually started playing even later than you. Even Ian Wright only went pro at around 21 years old. And it was still a very small club. SO KEEP AT IT!
