What is the best way to buy tickets for college football Bowl?

I've never bought tickets before bowl. I applied for tickets through college, but do not know if I can get for several days. Then there are the random tickets and ticket websites. How do I know which side of the field I want to be or when it might be too late to get tickets. I could use some help from soccer fans to experience.

Way better and safer would be to be patient with your university. Give them a couple of weeks and if u have not been contacted or received the tickets by then u should look elsewhere. But give them a little time for now. This is likely to get inundated with ticket purchases.
